How to Buy Items in Bulk in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Why buy everything individually when you can buy everything all at once?

When you’re hunting down secret Team Star bases, Titans, and Gym Badges, you don’t have time to buy every item you need individually. Thankfully, you don’t have to! You can buy every single item you need from a shop all at once, so you can get back to adventuring faster. Keep reading to find out how to buy items in bulk in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!

How to Buy Items in Bulk in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Whether you’re stocking up on sandwich ingredients or Poké Balls, buying items in bulk is a lot easier than you think it is! All you need to do to buy multiple items at once in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is follow these steps:

  • Travel to any shop you want to buy items from
    • You aren’t able to buy items in bulk from stores that sell clothes or pre-made food, just shops that sell items, such as Poké Marts or Chansey Supply stores
  • Interact with the shop and click the “I’d like to buy” option to gain access to the shop’s inventory
  • Instead of immediately buying the items you need, click on the + button on your Nintendo Switch
    • If you look at the bottom of the screen while buying from a shop, you should see a small + symbol with the words “Bulk Buy” next to it
  • Select an item with the A button. Once you’ve selected the item and quantity you need, hit the A button again to confirm
  • Scroll down through the list of available items and repeat this process for any other items you need
    • You should see the total price for all the items you’ve selected in the top right corner of the screen
  • Once you’ve selected all the items you need, hit the + button again to purchase all of the items at once
  • You’ll be given a receipt with all of the items you bought printed on it. From here, you’ll be able to purchase the items with cash, purchase the items with LP (League Points), or check the receipt for any errors
  • Congratulations! You can now buy items in bulk from any shop in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!

How to Sell Items in Bulk in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Selling items in bulk in just like buying items in bulk, with very few minor differences. Follow these similar steps to sell items in bulk in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet:

  • Locate and interact with a Poké Mart
  • Select the “I’d like to sell” option to sell items from your inventory
  • Instead of selling each of your valuable treasures one by one, hit the + button on your Nintendo Switch
    • Just like with buying items in bulk from shops, if you look at the bottom of the screen while selling your items, you will see a small + symbol with the words “Bulk Sell” next to it
  • Select an item from your inventory with the A button, and then confirm the quantity that you’d like to sell by hitting the A button again
  • Scroll down through the items in your inventory and repeat this process for all of the items you want to sell
    • As you select more items to sell, you should see the total value of your items adding up in the top right corner of your screen
  • When you’ve selected all the items that you want to sell, hit the + button again to sell all of your items at once
  • You’ll be given a receipt detailing all of the items that you’ve selected to sell. From here, you’ll be able to confirm your sale or check the receipt for errors
  • Congratulations! You can now sell items in bulk in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!

Unlike in previous Pokémon games, you don’t have to waste multiple in-game hours at Poké Marts just to fund your adventure in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!
