Here is how to defeat the second boss, the Charged Aspect, in Metal: Hellsinger.

Before the boss fight

Before the fight, try to charge all of your ultimates and achieve and maintain a 16x fury. On the way to the boss fight, your fury metre will freeze, so max it out before the final beast battle. It is difficult to know when the boss is coming up, so to be on the safe side preserve your ultimates and keep your fury up at the tail-end of every bout with the beasts.

For this fight, you will only have access to Paz, Terminus, Persephone, and The Hounds. This is more than enough.

The fight

This fight really kicks up the ante from your first tussle with the devil. Not only is the space more confined, but electricity on the ground makes evading and dodging perilous.

Not only do you need to remain on-beat to deal damage, but more of your attention is going to be spent avoiding the Aspect’s attacks whilst also dodging the electricity. Due to less of your time being spent effectively attacking, when you do get the chance to unleash damage, it had better be quick, painful, effective.

When solely focusing on dodging the attacks and the electricity, it isn’t too bad. But you don’t want to be doing that forever. Hopefully both Persephone and The Hounds will have their ultimates charged. Initially, run up to the boss and unleash Persephone’s ultimate for some initial damage and then remain close-quarters delivering strong on-beat damage for a great start.

The Charged Aspect will be dematerialising and stationing on one of the floating islands surrounding the main platform. Due to the feverous attacks and electricity, it may prove difficult to get close. That’s okay, just switch to The Hounds and blast away.

If you want to use The Hound’s ultimate, which is strongly advised, do it only after the boss unleashes a small horde of enemies. This is because you can capitalize on the enemies by slaughtering them all yourself, ramping up your health and building your fury. The Hound’s ultimate will hamper your efforts there by killing them off.

You must be skillful and versed in slaughtering to pull that stunt off however, otherwise the enemies will simply overwhelm you and you’ll just have to kill them off. Use Paz to prime the Marionettes for slaughter.

After the enemies, use The Hound’s ultimate to swiftly knock the boss down a few pegs.

If you are daring enough, and have at least one Styx Crystal on stand-by, you can leap onto the Charged Aspect’s platform and activate Terminus’ ultimate to deal heavy damage. This will cost you some health, but once it is over, just crack open the crystal.

This battle, if you follow that pattern, becomes quite simple. Use Persephone for a strong start, switch to The Hounds when the boss’s attacks and electricity start to become a problem, use the enemies to fill up your health, and perfor daring stunts to finish the boss even quicker. Stygia will be at your mercy.
