If you are the main protagonist of a Wizarding World piece of media, of course you will have to avoid get caught, because, you know, you will visit dangerous and forbidden areas. This is classic in exploration games, specially if authority figures continue telling you not to do so. What will it take for the Professor’s to understand that, no matter how much they insist, they will always receive the contrary effect on the students. “Don’t go to the Restricted Section of the Library”, we must go there, now. “The Forbidden Forest is forbidden”, want to go for a little picnic? There are several ways you will be able to avoid getting caught in Hogwarts Legacy. Of course, the obvious way of going unnoticed is not leaving your room at all, but I know that is impossible to do for a young wizard as yourself. Anyway, let’s deal with the most obvious now.

Magic Will Make You Disappear

If we talk about invisibility, we can refer to either the Disillusionment Charm, and the Invisibility Potion. You will learn the Disillusionment Charm after completing the Main Quest called Secrets of the Restricted Section. Of course. You can also drink an invisibility potion. You can either brew it with by mixing 1 Leaping Toadstool Caps, 1 Knotgrass Sprig, and 1 Troll Bogeys, or by purchasing it from J. Pippin’s Potions for 800 gold.

Strategize Your Way To Stealth

The other less obvious ways are actually diversion tactics and overall room reading. You can use distractions to lure enemies away, interacting with certain objects at a distance to make them go and investigate. While you are at it, you can also read their indicators to know how suspicious they are currently. Time your movements when they are less suspicious. Finally, you can purchase Stealth Talents such as Sense of Secrecy I and II, which will lower the enemies’ ability to detect you, and Human Demiguise, which allows you to spring while using the Disillusionment Charm.

And that’s it! If you act strategically and use spells and potions to become invisible, you will be able to avoid all enemies. Well, maybe a couple of times, but that is what learning is about.
