How Long Does It Take to Beat Sifu

How Long Does It Take to Beat Sifu

When you dedicate half of your life to pursuing vengeance, it can be very easy to lose track of time. It can become even easier to lose track of time when you have a magical talisman swiping years off your life whenever you get your face smashed. Eventually, though, all vengeance quests must come to an end, including the Student’s quest in Sifu. On that note, how long does it take to beat Sifu?

Sifu only has five levels, one for each member of the martial arts syndicate that murdered your father. Theoretically speaking, if you were to run through all five of those levels with no deaths and not a single wasted maneuver, then you may be able to beat the game in say, a couple of hours. Obviously, though, that’s not going to happen, and there are a couple of reasons for that.

Sifu’s extreme difficulty means that you will almost certainly be replaying levels over and over again before you even beat them for the first time. Repeated deaths, alongside the XP grinding it will take to unlock your Skill Tree moves permanently, will prolong your game time quite a bit. Factoring all of that in, getting to the fifth level and defeating the last boss will likely take you approximately 10 hours.

That’s not the end of it, though. Sifu also has a true ending path, reached by filling all of the collectible spots on the Detective Board, uncovering interconnected secrets between levels, and gradually piecing together the story’s overarching mystery. If you put in the effort to reach Sifu’s true ending, that can tack another 5 hours onto your playtime, bringing the grand total up to around 15 hours. Hey, you’ve already been on the revenge kick for eight years, what’s another 15 hours, right?
