In short, a Super Tape is a disposable item that can be used once to fix your existing body armor. Once it’s used, it’s tossed aside, and you’ll have to grab another. Each armor has 3 bars of durability, with a Super Tape being able to repair a single bar per roll.
Obtaining a roll of Super Tape can be done by picking them up after breaking crates or being picked up off of the floor around the map. They are added automatically to your inventory if you have space as you move over them. Each player can hold a maximum of 5 Super Tape up at a time which can get you quite far.
Additionally, players can increase their maximum amount by 1 if they pick up a Super Bandolier. There’s also the S.A.W. Impossible Tape that can be picked up which allows a player to use broken armor from a dead enemy and restores it to a single bar of durability. Both of these Super Powerups can be found anywhere on the map relatively easily.
To use Super Tape, all you have to do is press B if you’re on Xbox, Circle if you’re on PlayStation, A if you’re on Nintendo Switch, and the C key if you’re using a Mouse/Keyboard. It’s also important to point out that when using this tape, it takes a few seconds to fully complete and can alert enemies if they’re in earshot of you.
When it comes to repairing, you also won’t be able to move very fast either, so be mindful of your surroundings to avoid confrontation. You are allowed to break the repairing process without the penalty of losing any Tape so if a battle arises, don’t worry, it’ll be there when you’re done.
