ESO Witches Festival Halloween Schedule

ESO Witches Festival Halloween Schedule

You can’t have a high fantasy setting like Elder Scrolls without at least one gaggle of witches somewhere. You just can’t do it. You may not see them much, but they’re there, concocting potions, raising black cats, and… I dunno, dressing like Bette Middler in Hocus Pocus. If you’re in the mood for a bit of witchy wanderings, then Elder Scrolls Online has just the event for you. Here’s the schedule for ESO’s Witches Festival Halloween event.

The event has already begun as of 10:00 AM eastern time today, October 21st. Ten days to Halloween seems like a good timeframe, though don’t worry if you’re busy on Halloween proper, as the event will last until November 2nd at 10:00 AM eastern time. To actually start the event, you’ll need to jump through a few hoops.

How to start the Witches Festival in ESO

To start the Witches Festival in ESO:

  1. Log into the game during the event period
  2. Open the Crown Store and go to the Holiday section
  3. Select the Witches Festival quest to start it

To get things rolling, just log into the game while the event is running and visit the Crown Store. The store has a Holiday section where you can find seasonal items and quests; the one you’re looking for is the Witches Festival quest, titled “The Witchmother’s Bargain.” Successfully completing this quest will earn you the Witchmother’s Whistle memento. Give that whistle a toot, and not only will you gain a 100% XP bonus for two hours, you’ll also call up the Witchmother’s Cauldron, which can temporarily transform you into an Undead, if you’re into that.

Stay on the lookout for boss enemies during the event, as each one you defeat will reward you with a Plunder Skull. Crack a Plunder Skull open for all sorts of neat stuff, from items to recipes to furnishings to reagents.
