After being in development for what seemed like forever Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is finally available to play via Early Access on Steam. There has been a ton of anticipation for the role-playing/medieval combat sim and one question that is being asked a lot is whether or not the game features some sort of co-op campaign or any type of multiplayer campaign mode?
Does Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord have a CO-OP Campaign?
Short answer. No or at least not yet. While Bannerlord does feature multiplayer gameplay, at the moment you are not able to play through the regular campaign with your friends. There have been some rumors of a possible future DLC providing some sort of CO-OP campaign mode but with how the single-player sandbox campaign works it doesn’t seem likely.
Current Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Multiplayer Game Modes
- Siege Mode
- An attack and defense mode. One side besieges a castle while the other team defends.
- Team Deathmatch Mode
- Pretty self-explanatory. Join a team… kill the other team
- Skirmish Mode
- This is a 6v6 PVP mode where a player starts out with a limited amount of points that they need to spend each round they spawn. Better tier troops and equipment will cost more points so players have to be strategic about how they spend them.
- Captain Mode
- Lead a group of AI players into battle in this 6v6 PVP mode.
There will likely be a ton of changes to the multiplayer formats in the coming months so stay tuned for more updates.
