On the Carson House Steam page, there is information on the use of choices being crucial in Episode 3 of the Fears to Fathom anthology. Unlike previous Fears to Fathom games, you have the ability to communicate with the NPCs in Carson House. Whilst the choices you make do not change the overall outcome of the games climax, it is useful to use as a means of investigating the motivations of the game’s antagonist. One of the NPCs in Carson House is the Pizza Guy who shares a conversation with Noah (protagonist). But can you somehow invite this character in the house as a means of stopping the home invasion? Let us dive into it.
Inviting the Pizza Guy Inside the House
The dialogue between Noah and the Pizza Guy is frustrating for the pure fact that the game tricks you into thinking that inviting this guy inside is an option in the game. It is not helped by the dialogue line of him literally asking you if you can come inside to wait out the rain. Seeing as Noah is house-sitting for a stranger, his choice makes sense to not invite the man inside as it is not his property. However, the choice of dialogue in this conversation makes you think that there may be a dialogue line incoming for you to ask him to come inside.
Unfortunately nothing comes out of this interaction. All dialogue lines are different ways of saying no to the Pizza Guy who just wanted to wait out the rain and dry off inside. No matter which choice you select, the Pizza Guy will have to leave, halfway in the game when things are beginning to get a tad worrying inside Roy Carson’s House.

The use of the Pizza Guy is another red herring. Used to throw you off the scent of the actual home invasion. For those who have played the previous two Episodes of Fears to Fathom, Rayll has planted a seed inside our minds that anyone at the front door is a threat. Following directly on from reading about Roy Carson’s personal affairs and the problems with a fandom. The knock at the door follows immediately from your internet browsing, making for a terrifying moment. Although in this instance, the Pizza Guy is legit. It makes for another red herring in the game on who the antagonist could be.
The Result of Choices
Rayll has a lot to improve on in regard to adding choices in this game. As all roads lead to the exact same destination. Because of this, the only real part of replayability is the search for any sightings of the intruder. Which you may not have seen in your first playthrough. However, choices such as turning off the TV that you left on and finishing the pizza is not left up to you. But instead told as objectives that you need to complete to keep the story going. These actions are all ways of moving the intruder closer to the house. If these actions are not completed, the game will not move forward.
We hope this clears up any questions you may have had. On whether or not you can invite the Pizza Guy inside Carson’s House in Fears to Fathom Episode 3.
