Blizzard Announces New Survival Game for Console and PC

“A place of heroes we have yet to meet, stories yet to be told, and adventures yet to be lived.”

Blizzard output for the last decade or so has largely consisted of multiplayer-only games. Their newest one was Overwatch which was released in 2016. Its sequel as well Diablo 4 have been delayed until next year. While working on these games, Blizzard has revealed that they will also be developing a new survival game for console and PC.

Blizzard Announces a New Game in a New Universe

This untitled survival game has no projected release date at the moment or any tangible information other than the fact that it will be playable on console and PC. This announcement would be seen as just a new Blizzard game but since Microsoft’s purchase of Activision Blizzard, this could potentially be an Xbox exclusive in the near future.

Blizzard’s untitled survival game will take place in a new universe which the company describes as “A place of heroes we have yet to meet, stories yet to be told, and adventures yet to be lived.” Currently, there are several positions open at the company as they look to start development on this game very soon. These jobs are in the art, design, and engineering departments.

The timing of this announcement is coincidental as today, EA made a similar announcement regarding the three new Star Wars games the company will be publishing in the near future.
