Features Coming to Horse Ranch in The Sims 4

This upcoming expansion pack will have plenty to do that focuses on living on a ranch. Think of this game as an extension to the Cottage Living pack that focused on owning and operating a farm. In this pack, there will be a new world known as Chestnut Ridge where you can ride your horse along the trail. Four areas surrounding the world will be called Galloping Gulch, New Appaloosa, The Ranchers, and Rider’s Glen.

These parts of the world will offer places to camp, areas to ride around with your horse, and new caves you can come across that have secrets within. You can also expect these locations to host various events and activities. Some of those activities range from:

  • Line dancing
  • Equestrian competitions
  • Ranch gatherings
  • Cookouts
  • Nectar making
  • Chores related to farm life

What Activities Can Sims Do in The Sims 4 Horse Pack?

The hugest addition that has been added to the Horse Pack update would have to be Indigenous Representation. Sure, there are line dancing and taking care of the new animals such as goats, however, EA Games teamed up with a sensitivity reader known as Stacey Parshall Jensen to help bring an authentic indigenous atmosphere to Sims. There will be new food and objects added into the pack to instill an Indigenous culture in Sims. Lastly, if you purchase the pack before August 31st players will receive a guitar, a rocking chair, and a wheel wall art.
