Coffee Stain Studios dropped a cheeky trailer of Goat Simulator 3 at the Summer Game Fest 2022. It’s a sequel to the original Goat Simulator title, released way back in April 2014.
Goat Simulator is a third-person action video game. It lets players explore the world as an eccentric goat. You can perform violent yet funny activities, including headbutt, lick and even triple-jump. Goat Simulator 3 lets you add your friends as goats and team up to dawn chaos on the tropical island of San Angora.
The developers initially released the first game for Windows. However, it soon became available on Linux and Android OS. It also runs on other platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
The release of Goat Simulator 3 begs for an obvious question. Is there a Goat Simulator 2? Did Coffee Stain Studios forget about the second sequel? Hold tight as we reveal the answers to you.
Is There a Goat Simulator 2?
Unfortunately, there is no Goat Simulator 2. The first sequel was released on April Fool’s Day of 2014, arguably the perfect day for releasing the title. However, Coffee Stain Studios released a few DLCs for the community. They added Goat Simulator MMO as a free update and later released Goatz, Payday and Waste Of Space as additional content.

The developers haven’t given any explanation for the missing part of the series. However, Santiago Ferrero, creative director at Coffee Stain North, explained his vision for Goat Simulator 3.
“Since the release of the first Goat Simulator, it’s come to our attention that it did not really represent reality and how it actually feels to be a goat,” Ferrero said, in a press release. “So for the past couple of years, we’ve been doing some googling, and I am pleased to say – we’ve made it. Goat Simulator 3 is by far the greatest goat experience out there. Is it worth the money? Who knows. But will you regret it? Probably.”
Goat Simulator 3 will release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via the Epic Games Store in Fall 2022.
