Activating Outpost in Meet Your Maker Explained

Before you activate your Outpost in Meet Your Maker you need to fulfill a couple of conditions. Once you meet these conditions go into the Select Outpost Status menu and activate it. The conditions you need to create are:

  1. The first thing that you need to do is make or change your Harvester path in such a way that it goes all the way from the entrance of your Outpost to the Genetic Material and back.
  2. Install defenses that you believe will be enough to hold off the intruders (choose your favorite traps, guards, etc.)
  3. Make sure you have an Activation slot available – you can only have 5 active bases and if you have reached the maximum you won’t be able to activate a new one.

Also, there are three status modes in which your Outpost can be active. They are Active, Social, or Override, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. The Active status allows for others to raid your base, you don’t lose any of your GenMat if raiders are successful and you earn progression. The Social status allows only the raiders in the Social Raid menu to raid your base, you don’t lose any progression or resource and you earn no progression either. The Override status puts you in a position where players can raid your base, you lose 300 GenMat when they are successful but each kill you get provides you with +100% GenMat.

How to Deactivate Outpost in Meet Your Maker?

If you purposely want to deactivate your Outpost, that can be done as well. All you need to do is put your base in an Inactive status in the menu. It will put you in a situation where nobody can raid your base and you neither earn nor gain anything while the Outpost is in that state. This status is used when players wish to add new defenses or upgrade their base in another way.
