What Controls Are Available in Resident Evil 4 Remake?

As Capcom have remade various games within the Resident Evil franchise, with the first remake being Resident Evil 2, players not only saw massive visual improvements but gameplay changes. One of these improvements is the Control Scheme which offers a fluid, easy to use system as seen in most AAA Games. For the Resident Evil 4 Remake however, players may be expecting to see the previous Control Schemes implemented in the last two Remakes. However, Ampo and Hirabayashi share that multiple Control Schemes would be available to use within the Resident Evil 4 Remake. This also includes a scheme incredibly similar to the Controls of the original game.

When looking at previous Resident Evil Remake installments, players have options when it comes to Control Schemes. This gives players the opportunity to alter controls based on their preferences, allowing easier playability and comfortability. Whilst many of the fans appreciate the Tank Controls of the original Resident Evil 4, Capcom offering more modern controls is smart for the newer generation of players that will experience this game for the first time with the Remake. When comparing the previous Remakes to Resident Evil 4, these schemes will likely be implemented for the Remake. With options to change buttons such as Reloading Magazines, Running and Quick Turns.

Ampo and Hirabayashi confirm that the original controls will return to the game but in a more polished format. It will not be completely the same as the original controls may not translate to the new setting of RE4. But bringing back the original controls will allow players to get the feel of the original game once again. But by offering a change to a more well-rounded Control Scheme means the majority of players can play the game with ease, with a Control Scheme they are used to using in the previous Resident Evil Remakes.
