Is the first Descendant Crossplay/Cross-Platform?

playing across the platforms

There is no set date for The First Descendant yet. However, you can access the beta soon so you should head over to steam to apply for access. The game looks to be gaining a good bit of intrigue and steam behind its beta release and many are looking forward to when it will be fully released next year. So far we know the game will be free to play and across all platforms, but does that mean the game itself will be cross-platform compatible? Will the First Descendant have crossplay?

The First Descendant crossplay

We are still learning about the gameplay and mechanics of The First Descendant. Sadly, as far as the crossplay feature we don’t have any official announcement or acknowledgment so far. However, at this point, there is a lot of speculation and we can assume that crossplay is very likely. Nexon has a long history of free-to-play online games that are mostly cross-platform. Also, with the release of every platform, all forms of Xbox, Playstation, and Steam, it is pretty safe to assume they would want such a game of this scale to have full cross-platform interactions.

The Beta

You can apply to access the beta right now on steam as linked above. The Beta will be playable starting October 20th through the 26th. There are a few early reactions from those who have played on youtube as well as speculation on what we will see in the coming months from Nexon and the game.

There will be at least a 4 maximum co-op team play. As an RPG there will be a lot of diverse and unique skills to implement into your character for a more unique gameplay style no matter how you play. This sci-fi shooter is promising to at least have a complex narrative and beautiful graphics with its use of Unreal Engine 5.
