What Platforms will be available

Lucky for us, The First Descendant will be available on all platforms. The game will launch next year on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. For now, you can access the beta on Steam as linked above. Currently, it seems the beta is only accessible on PC through steam. The beta begins on October 20th and will be playable through the 26th.

What’s in the Beta?

Not much is known about the beta features so far, but some information is known. The First Descendants is labeled as a third-person co-op shooter RPG. There will be RPG skill mechanics to diversify your character and the combat seems to be similar to Destiny with looter shooter mechanics as well. Using the Unreal Engine 5, Nexon has crafted a very beautiful and sleek Sci-fi epic of humans vs alien invaders.

There is a lot of promise with the use of Unreal Engine and Nexon’s impressive track record for free-to-play online games in the past. The trailers so far are quite beautiful and clean, it really does well to set up the hype. There is a lot to look forward to with this game and hopefully, it will be a great success with wonderful gameplay and easy-to-learn but thrilling combat mechanics. There are so many online shooters that could be similar but lets hope this one has more to offer.
