Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale Release Date

I haven’t touched a physical Yu-Gi-Oh! card since middle school. There was a certain lunchroom… incident that necessitated me swearing off them. But while I don’t collect the real cards anymore, there are still plenty of digital ways to enjoy the game. If you’re a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! games, then good news, there’s going to be a new way to play in the very near future. Here’s the Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale!! release date.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale!! (and yes, the two exclamation points are part of the title) is a new Yu-Gi-Oh! game coming to the Nintendo Switch. Inspired by the playstyle of Yuga Ohdo, the protagonist of the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime, Dawn of the Battle Royale!! introduces a new kind of dueling style, separate from the typical Master Duel style used in vanilla Yu-Gi-Oh!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale Release Date

Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale releases in the Switch eShop on December 7th.

In a Rush Duel, players can play as many monster cards on their side of the field as they like, no need for sacrifices. It’s kind of like the first season of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime where you can just summon three Blue-Eyes White Dragons from your hand immediately. On your next turn, you also re-draw your hand back to the maximum, so the cards keep on coming. The constant surge of monsters gives the game a much faster pace than usual.

According to Konami’s official announcement of the game, you can look forward to these features:

  • Discover an original story featuring a host of fun new characters.
  • Explore a full single-player campaign in which you can hone your Dueling skills.
  • Build up your Deck from a massive, wide-ranging selection of cards.
  • Duel wherever you are with local multiplayer functionality for up to two players.
  • Take on your friends and challengers across the globe in online two-player Duels.
  • And much, much more.
