It’s less than a day since the release of the first major expansion for World of Warcraft Classic, and a group of players has already hit max level. It took the five-person team from the EU Firemaw server around thirteen hours to accomplish the task in tried and true dungeon grinding fashion. Here’s everything you need to know about the Burning Crusade Classic world-first level 70s.
World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic World First 70
The first level 70 group in World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic consists of <Progress> members Hacez, Kennygodx, Dt, Nigoshima, and Kynmagetwo. Hacez was the first one to ding to max level, quickly followed by the other four guildmates.
The entire <Progress> squad, well-known for their world-first clears, are all fast approaching 70. It will be no surprise if their full team hits the level cap by the end of today. Progress is well on its way to achieving the Classic World First clear of all TBC Tier 4 content, which includes Karazhan, Magtheridon’s Lair, and Gruul’s Lair. The guild already has the world’s first Naxxramas clear and C’Thun kill under their belt in WoW Classic.
So, how did they hit 70 so quickly? Well, it’s all about spamming those dungeons, but tons of planning went into the entire process. They went into the expansion with full world buffs and had their route precisely planned out. On Progress member Hellspawnl’s Twitch, he mentions they could have been even quicker, but they opted to get the Karazhan attunement out of the way.
