Technical issues ruined the experince for many

Kerbal Space Program 2 was released into Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Of course, not everyone was going to enjoy the game but this disappointment seems to stem from its technical issues.

Why are Players Saying that Kerbal Space Program 2 is Unplayable in the Early Access?

If you want to see how disappointed fans are in the current state of Kerbal Space Program 2, look no further than the Steam reviews. Currently, the game has mixed reviews according to Steam. Some of the most helpful reviews for the game criticize how unplayable it is, such as this one from a Steam user: “15 fps on a 3080 during launch just isn’t good enough for £50. For all the “IS EARLY ACCESS” bros – they should be charging early access prices.”

Another review from one user says, “It’s just not ready yet, even for the limited feature set promised. Half of what is in the game is buggy or just completely broken. Come back in a year and maybe it’ll be worth a shot. But in this state it isn’t, and $50 is a slap in the face.” After hearing fans talk about how dissatisfied they were, the Kerbal Space Program 2’s community lead Michael Loreno made a blog post featuring updated system specs. He mentions that “because no two people play the game exactly the same way, it’s very challenging to predict the experience that any particular player will have on day 1.”

Loreno then explains how the team plans to move forward through early access in regard to fixing technical issues and responding to fan feedback. It’s not clear just how long Kerbal Space Program 2 will be in Early Access.
