Where are pictures saved?

If like me, you’re a player who’s been enjoying their time in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you have certainly come across the ability to take in-game photos using the camera. Though it’s currently limited in the poses you can make and the angles it takes photos at, it’s a nice little thing to have in the game.

You’ll mostly be using it during quests to take photos of items or people in order to progress through them. And if you’re on a console, the photos seem to end there, but that isn’t the case for every platform. Let’s talk about where photos are saved from Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where Are Photos Saved in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

As it currently stands, no matter what platform you’re playing on, you, unfortunately, don’t have the option to save any pictures that you take in-game. There’s no photo album or digital library to speak of, though there’s sure to be something similar in the future, as Gameloft has indicated that photo mode is getting a facelift soon.

If on a gaming console, the only way to save your photos is going to be by screenshotting them which saves them to your console’s captures library, at least for now. Fortunately for PC players, on the other hand, you have two distinct ways of actually keeping your photos without having to screenshot them every time, saving them to your computer easily.

How to Locate Photos on PC

If you’re taking selfie pictures on a PC, after doing so, you’ll actually find a button you can click that says “Download to Device”, making it easy to save them. Though, locating them is easier said than done because there are two places you’ll find them depending on how you’re launching the game.

  • If launching through Steam, you’ll find the images under the Disney Dreamlight Valley folder in the Steam directory within your PC files.
  • If launching through Epic Games Store, you’ll be able to locate the photos you save within the Pictures folder on your PC with all of the usual images you save like family photos and wallpapers. Weird, right?

These are some unorthodox save locations, and it’s undetermined if they are going to change after photo mode gets an update in the future. But at least you can easily save them.
