Will Weird West Come to Nintendo Switch?

Will Weird West Come to Nintendo Switch?

Weird West released this week, and initial impressions are pretty good. Critics are calling it an excellent top-down immersive sim, with many comparing it favorably to vintage immersive sims like the original Fallout. If that sounds appealing to you, it’d be a great game to pick up, but at the moment, it’s only available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Game Pass. So what about the odd man out? Will Weird West come to Nintendo Switch?

Will Weird West Come to Nintendo Switch?

At the moment, the answer to that question is no. Prior to Weird West’s release, Devolver Digital clarified that the game would only be releasing on the aforementioned platforms, with no release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or Nintendo Switch, though in the case of PlayStation and Xbox, you could still play the PS4 or Xbox One versions of the game on a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, respectively. As for the Switch, though, no plans to release Weird West have been divulged by either WolfEye Studios or Devolver.

That said, the Switch is nothing if not a willing vessel for late-stage ports. Many games, newer and older, have been making their way to the Switch either physically or digitally later down the line after their releases. As such, while nothing has been announced as of writing, it is not impossible for Weird West to eventually make its way to the Switch, though if it does happen, it probably won’t be for at least a year or so, possibly more. Keep your eyes on Devolver’s official Twitter feed, as well as the Weird West Steam Forums for any potential information.
