Currently, Steam is holding its Winter Sale. The sale features many great bargains for users of Valve’s online service. The sale is a yearly tradition for Valve and leads to an increase in game sales. To commemorate the end of the year and promote this sale, Valve has revealed Steam’s top-selling games of 2021.
The top-selling games have been divided into four categories: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. The bronze category features games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops III, NBA 2K22, Humankind, Dying Light, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Silver features games such as Phasmophobia, Cyberpunk 2077, Resident Evil Village, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and Monster Hunter World.
The gold category features games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Back 4 Blood, Forza Horizon 5, Sea of Thieves, and It Takes Two. Platinum is the top category and only contains multiplayer games. This makes sense since the list is measured by gross revenue and these games usually contain microtransactions.
Games featured in the platinum category include NARAKA: Bladepoint, Grand Theft Auto V, Destiny 2, New World, and Battlefield 2042. Most of the games mentioned here are a part of the ongoing winter sale. The full list of top-selling Steam games can be viewed here.
