VALORANT Players Band Together Against a Cheater

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Riot Games put a lot of hard work into creating an effective anti-cheat for VALORANT. Unfortunately, cheaters will always find a way through the cracks. It’s always a game of cat and mouse.

In a recent match, players found themselves with a fishy player on their team. The suspect was not missing any of their shots and was showing some questionable aim. Nobody hits headshots 100% of the time.

After confirming the player was using an aimbot, it was time for the players to take things into their own hands.

We had an aimbotter on our team and Vanguard didn’t catch him…So we became Vanguards from r/VALORANT

Mr. Aimbot managed to sneak through the Vanguard anti-cheat system and wanted to put their cheats to the test. Unfortunately for the cheater, his teammates don’t take too kindly to that sort of thing.

The team went on to sabotage the cheater’s game and make sure he got no enjoyment out of ruining other people’s fun. They blocked his path everywhere he went and did everything necessary to secure the loss.

The four players banded together and made sure the cheater was not victorious. In the end, the players were succeeded in losing their match and likely caused the cheater some frustration. That’s a win in my book.

As one comment pointed out, it’s likely the anti-cheat system may have actually picked up the fact this person was cheated. Normally bans goes out in waves, so they may have been added to the list.

We may have seen a different situation unraveled if this was a competitive match. Many players will gladly take the free win with a cheater on their team. Considering this is an Unranked match, I applaud how they handled the situation.
