Riot Games unveiled some information about the newest Valorant agent, a robot by the name of KAY/O. The robotic agent will be making its way to the game in the Episode 3 update, alongside a major content patch. KAY is an initiator, meaning it’s the perfect agent for entry fragging and penetrating the opposing team’s defensive setups. KAY/O’s abilities are primarily suppressive and tactical, meaning they will slow down enemies and help gain entry into tough-to breach areas.
KAY’s four abilities include three pieces of tactical equipment and one ultimate suppression ability. The ZERO/POINT knife suppresses enemies in an area, meaning they cannot use any powers. KAY’s ultimate skill is similar, but the suppression emits from his body. During the ultimate activation, KAY can also be revived by teammates if he goes down.
The other two abilities are FLASH/DRIVE and FRAG/MENT. Both are explosives. One is essentially a frag or cluster grenade, while the other is your run-of-the-mill flashbang. These skills will undoubtedly be advantageous to KAY’s overall kit and make it a compelling character capable of shaking up the meta.
Valorant KAY/O Abilities
Valorant’s KAY/O agent has four robotic abilities:
- ZERO/POINT
- FLASH/DRIVE
- FRAG/MENT
- NULL/CMD
E — ZERO/POINT
KAY equips a suppression blade, which you can fire to throw. The suppression blade sticks to any surface, explodes, and suppresses anyone in a nearby radius.
Q — FLASH/DRIVE
KAY equips a flash grenade, which you can fire to throw. The grenade is like a normal flashbang, which blinds anyone looking at it at the time of the explosion.
C — FRAG/MENT
KAY equips an explosive fragment, which you can fire to throw. It sticks to the floor, explodes several times, and deals severe damage at the center of each explosion.
X — NULL/CMD
Overload the Radianite energy powering Kay, causing energy pulses that suppress nearby enemies for a short time. KAY also gains a Combat Stim while this is active. If an enemy downs KAY while it is active, a teammate can revive him to destabilize his core.
