X10 Esports dealt a fatal blow to Japan’s chances in Master 2 today with a  swift 2 – 0 victory to start Day 3 of Masters Reykjavik.  X10 Patiphan demonstrated his versatility with a Viper and a Jett game and was one of the defining factors to keep Thailand in the running.  Unfortunately for the Raccoons, they were the first team booking their trip back home.

KRÜ Esports (Chile) vs YNG Sharks (Brazil)

BindYNG Sharks13 – 6KRÜ Esports

Chilean representatives KRÜ Esports thoroughly decimated the Brazilian Challenger 2 Finals winner YNG Sharks.  The name of the game for the Sharks was prozin, who played Raze both games and did his best to lead the team.  The Sharks also had SHK light play Brimstone, a curious and interesting choice in agents.  However, KRÜ’s team played better as a whole, with each member having their shining moments throughout the series.

Sentinels (USA) vs Viking Esports (Brazil)

MapMap ChoiceScore
IceboxViking Esports13 – 7Sentinels
HavenSentinels13 – 6Viking Esports

The most recognized team at the tournament, Sentinels rout Viking Esports handily on the back of prodigy TenZ.  The second Brazilian seed will continue to have a chance in the lower bracket but will need to rethink their game plan – the only player posting a positive KD was VKS Sacy in the first map.  ShaZaM and TenZ are the bona fide stars of the team, but they can only function because the rest of SEN are solid pillars of support.
