In a thrilling overtime match, X10 and Team Vikings gave viewers a great clash to start the day off.  Game 1 was a close brawl with each side alternating in terms of points while Game 2 was a comeback story for X10, winning four rounds in a row to force the OT.  X10 Patiphan showed the world his versatility, playing Jett and Sage and top fragging on both.  However, Vikings were the stronger team by the thinnest of margins, with Sacy and sutecas stepping up to the plate and frz dominating Icebox.

In the first heated battle of the West, Version1 and Team Liquid were neck in neck for the first two maps.  The first map went into OT where both teams’ players performed fiercely while the second map was just as close, with TL Jamppi standing out from the crowd.  The last map on Haven was a sad day for TL as V1 Zellsis, who had been relatively quiet but reliable, decided to end the hopes and dreams of TL on Day 2.

Sentinels (USA) vs FNATIC (Europe)

To the surprise of few, Sentinels were able to triumph over European powerhouse FNATIC in a 2 – 0 set.  Although the scoreboard will read 2 – 0, each match was very close and could have gone either way towards the end.  SEN ShahZaM and TenZ were the highlight duelists for Sentinels, top fragging and putting on a grand display of mechanics.  The entirety of FNATIC’s lineup played admirably and would have won against any other team in the tournament, but today was their unlucky day.
