MapMap ChoiceScore
HavenKRÜ Esports5 – 13FNATIC
IceboxFNATIC13 – 4KRÜ Esports

Although it may pain Latin American fans, especially those from Chile, KRÜ Esports were simply outplayed and outgunned in the debut match in Masters 2.  Utility player KRÜ delz1k was absolutely shut down in Game 1 while KRÜ NagZ did not have the duelist showing he had hoped for in Game 2.  For FNATIC, Derke and MAGNUM were the golden players, leading the team to a 2 – 0 victory to start the tournament.

Crazy Raccoon (Japan) vs Version1 (USA)

MapMap ChoiceScore
AscentCrazy Raccoon11 – 13Version1
IceboxVersion113 – 10Crazy Raccoon

Japan’s Crazy Raccoons gave NA’s Version1 a run for their money.  On the back of CR Munchkin, the Raccoons fielded impressive comeback runs in the second half of both maps.  However, V1’s combination of offense heavy duelists was able to dominate the competition, with V1 Zellsis on Phoenix and V1 penny on Jett for both games.

MapMap ChoiceScore
HavenShark Esports 13 – 5NUTURN
BindNUTURN13 – 5Shark Esports
AscentNUTURN13 – 5Shark Esports

NUTURN and Shark Esports gave us our first Bind map in the tournament, as the map had previously been banned in the first two matches.  SHK prozin, gaabxx, and deNaro teamed up for an impressive 57-29 KD on Haven while NU peri and Suggest put on a clinic on Bind.  Unfortunately, the Brazilians were thoroughly routed in Ascent, when they gave up 9 straight rounds to start the round.
