You can obtain currency in various ways and spend it on items to help you out or pick up some cosmetics to make yourself stand out. What are Golden Horns in Tribes of Midgard?
Golden Horns are a type of in-game currency alongside Platinum Coins. Both these currencies are viewable from the main menu screen on the top right-hand side. You can use these Golden Horns for the in-game item shop. Some essential items in the shop can be purchased with Golden Horns, while other featured items typically require Platinum Coins.
We recommend spending your Golden Horns on actual usable in-game items rather than cosmetic items. Skins, or cosmetic items, won’t grant you any extra advantage, while usable items like runes can actually help you out.
You can also spend Golden Horns at the Golden Altar in your in-game settlement. If you want, you can spend some Golden Horns to get random runes. Don’t spend them all at once, though, until you figure out how to play the game.
How to get Golden Horns in Tribes of Midgard
There are a few different ways to obtain Golden Horns in Tribes of Midgard, including:
- Completing in-game Achievement Challenges
- Ranking up in the Season
- Defeating Jötnar
Achievement Challenges
From the main menu, head to the progress tab to see a list of achievement challenges. At the time of writing, you can see a list of challenges with a total reward of 10 Golden Horns. The list of challenges will change over time, awarding varying amounts of Golden Horns throughout the season. For example, right now, you can craft a legendary item to get five Golden Horns.
Season Rewards
Another way to obtain Golden Horns is by playing the game and leveling up throughout the season. From the main menu, click on the rewards tab. You will see a list of fifty tiers you can level through, which will award you a total of 40 Golden Horns.
Defeating Jötnar
The main way you’ll be acquiring Golden Horns while playing is by defeating Jötnar. You will receive 1 Golden Horn for defeating each Jötnar (giant) and 5 Golden Horns for defeating the Saga Boss.
