Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six is Becoming a Mobile Game

Siege fans will be able to experience the game on mobile devices.

Rainbow Six has gone through a dramatic transformation in the past decade. The game Rainbow Six Patriots turned into Rainbow Six Siege and made the franchise more focused on PVP multiplayer. Earlier this year, a spin-off titled Rainbow Six Quarantine focused more on co-op gameplay against enemy A.I. The newest iteration of Rainbow Six will be a mobile game that seeks to recreate the Siege experience for mobile devices.

Rainbow Six Mobile is a mobile version of Rainbow Six Siege featuring similar graphics, gameplay, and characters while also making some changes. For starters, matches in the game have the best-of-three-rounds format, and the HUD size was altered to fit mobile device screens.

Fans of Siege will recognize the gameplay of Rainbow Six Mobile. It features the signature 5v5 gameplay, with one side being the attackers and the other one being the defenders. These modes can be experienced as one of the game’s many operators. Operators featured in Siege who will return for this game include Thermite, Twitch, Sledge, Valkyrie, and Mute.

Ubisoft has said that after launch, more modes will be added to the game. The ones available at launch will be Secure Area and Bomb. No release date has been given by the company at the moment, but by signing up at the game’s website, players can register for the chance to play it early.
