With the holidays right around the corner, the Pokémon GO Holiday 2021 event will be launching, debuting Bergmite, exclusive Field Research tasks and rewards, winter-themed items, and tons of bonuses. The event is broken up into two parts, with the first one introducing a new feature Niantic is calling the Postcard Book.
The Postcard Book launches with part one of the Pokémon GO Holiday 2021 event on December 16, and it lets trainers send postcards to friends of places they have visited. Whenever trainers send gifts to friends, a postcard of the Pokéstop location where the gift is from is included as well.
In addition to the Postcard Book, part one of the holiday event has a few Pokémon showing up more often in the wild. These Pokémon include Pikachu (Holiday Hat), Swinub, Stantler (Holiday), Delibird (Holiday), Snorunt, Spheal (Holiday), Snover, Vanillite, Cubchoo (Holiday), Alola Sandshrew, and Cryogonal.
Part one of the Pokémon GO Holiday event begins on December 16, and the second part starts on December 23. Part two debuts Bergmite, who will start appearing in the wild and inside 7 km Eggs. Additionally, there are various new Field Research tasks and rewards, a Collection Challenge, and the chance at a unique Delibird Holiday reward.
The second part of the Pokémon GO Holiday event runs from December 23 to 31. The final Community Day event will also be held on Saturday, December 18, and Sunday, December 19, 2021. During this time, Pokémon featured throughout all of 2021’s Community Day events appear more often in the wild, and Pokémon featured through 2020’s Community Day events will hatch from eggs and appear in raids.
The Pokémon GO Holiday 2021 event is an exciting time for trainers, so make sure to log in from December 16 to December 31 at 10 a.m. local time to get in on the action!
