Despite being released in 2019 and a spin-off in development, The Division 2 is still receiving support from Ubisoft in the form of content updates. It was recently announced that the upcoming update would be delayed as the developers were unable to update the game. Now that this issue has been resolved, players can expect the update to arrive tomorrow, February 28th. Today, Ubisoft released patch notes for the upcoming update, which is titled, Reign of Fire.
Four New Targets
In this new season, Division 2 players will be tasked with hunting down four new targets: Charles “Chunks” Crawford, Lieutenant Bantam, Mort “Cursed” Kellogg, and Beatrice “Auntie” Kaplan. Finding these four will lead players to Zachary “Stovepipe” Beattie, an explosives expert recruited by the Black Tusk. These four targets will become available starting this month with a new one released each month until May.
New Gear and Weapons
The following weapons will be added in Season 11 of The Division 2:
- Sacrum Imperium (Exotic variation of the G28 Marksman Rifle)
- Prophet Police 686 Magnum revolver
- Relic G28 Marksmen Rifle
- Talent Determined
The Hotshot gear set will also be added to the game. This set includes bonuses that start with just 2 pieces equipped. More bonuses are gained if more pieces of the gear are equipped.
Quality of Life Changes
The following changes have been made to PVP:
- Lower Skill Tier players will be able to use the Jammer skill against Skill Tier players 3 levels above their own.
- Fixed an issue where Shrapnel Trap would apply PvE damage in PvP.
- Exotics that are otherwise exclusive to a specific source are available as random contaminated drops in the DZ. Exotic weapons that can be received as random loot drops after killing enemies in DZ:
- The Ravenous
- The Bighorn
- Eagle Bearer
The following changes have been made to the game’s UI:
- Added an Inventory Pouch Space AR on the backpack to allow players see the remaining space in their Inventory after looting an item.
- Added a checkmark displaying the current Loadout equipped.
- To find the checkmark go to the Main Menu – Inventory – Press H for Loadouts.
- The Caches tab from the Apparel Event Menu will display the ongoing Apparel Event cache image. When no Apparel Event is running, the default cache box will be displayed.
- Season tile background will display the current ongoing event.
- Added an item type display icon to the Apparel Cache Reveal button.
