Starkiller Returns to a Nintendo console

Star Wars games are starting to see a resurgence since news broke that EA’s exclusivity deal with the franchise is ending. Soon gamers will see Star Wars games from studios like Ubisoft and Quantic Dream. In the meantime, there are plenty of older Star Wars games being remastered. The next one that will be released is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed’s remaster will be based on the game’s Wii version but will support Joy-Con motion controls instead of the Wii’s Remote and Nunchuk. The game takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope as players take control of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice Starkiller who goes on a quest that will serve his Lord Vader.

The remaster of the game will feature the multiplayer duel mode, which features 27 Star Wars characters. Aspyr will be handling the development of the game. As of right now, it is only a Nintendo Switch exclusive. There’s no word on whether or not Aspyr will also port over the Wii version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.

Fans can get their hands on the remaster of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed when it launches on the Nintendo eShop for $19.99 on April 20. Pre-orders are currently available.
