As part of Uncle Atul’s personal questline, he’ll request you fry him up a batch of one of his favorites: fried chicken. Good news is he provides the recipe for you. Bad news, it’s up to you to source the ingredients. Getting raw chicken is easy enough; the Raccoon, Inc. store in Nordweiler will sell it to you. But you can’t fry chicken without some manner of fat to make the skin crispy, and that stuff ain’t exactly growing out of the ground… or is it?

To clarify, fat isn’t actually a standalone item, but a category of food, and within that category is two things: olive oil and sunflower oil. To get either of these, you’ll first need to grow a crop of either sunflower seeds or olives in your ship’s garden. They don’t have any special care requirements, so just make sure to water them and play them some music.

Next, you’ll need a particular kind of shipbuilding: the Crusher. The blueprint for the Crusher is given to you when you bring Bruce and Mickey aboard and progress their personal questline. You’ll need 7 Pulsar Ingots, 15 Ash Planks, and 5 Zinc Ingots to put it together. When the Crusher is up and running, just dump some olives or sunflower seeds into the slot and crush ‘em up good to get bottles of their respective oils.

Once you’ve got the oil and the raw chicken, just chuck them into the oven together, wait a little while, and boom: a delicious plate of fried chicken, guaranteed to put a smile on Atul’s face.
