It’s been three weeks since the launch of Sloclap’s critically acclaimed game Sifu. The game is a roguelike revolving around clearing rooms of henchmen using martial arts combos to reach the level’s final boss. It is a very difficult game that is easy to learn but hard to master. Sifu has received high praise from critics worldwide and has now reached 1 million sales worldwide.
Sifu Has Over 10 Million Hours Played
According to a press release from Sloclap, Sifu sold one million copies within the first three weeks of its release. The company also revealed stats about those playing the game. About 45 percent of the game’s one million players have finished the second level, the Club. Only 150,000 players have managed to beat the final boss, Yang.
“We are thrilled by the reception of Sifu from both fans and press alike,” said Sloclap executive producer Paul Tarano. We’re thankful for our fans around the world, but we are especially humbled by the incredible reception the game has had in China.”
Sloclap released a trailer to celebrate the game’s recent accolades.
Sifu can be purchased now via the Epic Games Store on PC and the PlayStation Store on PS4 and PS5. The standard version costs $39.99, while the Deluxe Edition costs $49.99. A Mandarin Chinese translation of the game is coming soon.
