The Newest Session Update is The Game’s Largest Yet

A new update to Session adds new locations, playable characters, and more

Session is one of the few skateboarding games currently available on modern consoles. It was successfully funded through Kickstarter in 2017 and has been in Early Access on PC and Xbox One since 2019. The game has seen improvements and content updates since then, but this week it has received its biggest update yet.

New Locations, Characters, and More Come to the Skateboarding Sim

This new update will bring many changes to the game, according to Crea-ture Studios. Accompanying the update is a trailer that highlights these changes. Skating is much smoother now. Movement is now more realistic as characters have animations that mimic real-life skaters. Speaking of real-life skaters, several of them have been added to the game. Antiferg, Mark Appleyard, Billy Marks, Manny Santiago, and Beagle are all now playable within Session.

New customization items have also been added to the game as players now have four new custom avatars to select as well as new clothing items. Once you’ve customized your skater, you can skate two new locations: the Jerome Avenue Banks in New York and FDR Park in Philadelphia.

This update is a result of the team at Crea-ture Studios reviewing player feedback about Session. “Players managed to exploit the early days of our game’s physics with success, and we can’t wait to see what they will now be able to unlock creatively with this new advanced version,” said the company’s founding director Marc-AndrĂ©. “We at Crea-ture Studios are all extremely grateful for their support and really excited to share this update with them all.”

The new update can now be downloaded on Xbox One and PC
