Project New World Race Tier List

Some races work better as pirates than others.

One of the cool things about One Piece’s world is diversity. There are plenty of normal humans, sure, but there are also numerous offshoots of humanoid life, from sea-dwelling fishmen to towering giants. These many races put an additional spin on the series’ power system, and the same is true for Project New World. Here’s a tier list for the races in Project New World.

Project New World Race Tier List

When you first create your character in Project New World, they’ll be randomly assigned one of the game’s various races. While the most likely outcome of this is a normal human, if you’re lucky (or don’t mind rerolling a few times), you might get one of the rarer races with powerful inherent abilities.

Naturally, the races with lower roll rates tend to be more overtly useful, with passive buffs, special abilities, and early access to abilities that might otherwise take a lot of grinding to unlock. With these characteristics in mind, here’s our tier list for Project New World’s races.

These races are absolutely top-shelf, be you a Pirate or a Marine. If you’re lucky enough to roll up a character in these races, you’ve got quite a head start.

  • D-Clan
  • Dragonoid
  • Lunarian

Project New World A-Tier Races

While not quite as good as the S-Tiers, these races are still fantastic in their own right, boasting helpful abilities and valuable passive stat buffs.

  • Celestial Dragon
  • Demon

Project New World B-Tier Races

These races are serviceable, offering a few helpful stat buffs, but they probably won’t provide you with anything particularly helpful in the long run. They’re decent for simpler builds or roleplaying, but that’s about it.

  • Mink
  • Fishman
  • Cyborg
  • 3-Eye Tribe

Project New World C-Tier Races

These races are the bottom rung, providing little-to-no benefit whatsoever. If you end up with a character in one of these races, you’re better off attempting to reroll.

  • Human
  • Elf

Even the shortcomings of the lower-tier races can be made up for with sufficient grinding and practice, so if you really want to be a human for some reason, then by all means. Of course, if you do have the opportunity to get something better with a reroll, why not try it?
