I love Steel type Pokemon because they have some of the coolest, sleekest designs. It’s always fun to see Pokemon designers come up with interesting ways to marry the concepts of organic life and inorganic materials. One of those cool Pokemon is Duraludon, whose body is entirely composed of a sleek, lightweight alloy. It may look a bit stubby, but it’s remarkably fast and strong in combat. If you don’t believe me, you can see for yourself, because Duraludon is coming to Pokemon Unite.
Duraludon is Coming to Pokemon Unite
During the recent Pokemon Day livestream that announced the upcoming release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, The Pokemon Company briefly teased the addition of Duraludon to Pokemon Unite’s roster. Today, they offered up some more details on this newcomer, the 33rd new Pokemon to be added to Unite.
Duraludon will be classified as an Attacker role, the tenth one in the roster, meaning that it’s primarily intended for front-line combat and pushing foes back into their own territory. While full details of Duraludon’s kit have not yet been released, the official Pokemon Unite Twitter did post a brief teaser video showing some of Duraludon’s capabilities.
Judging from that video, Duraludon seems to be able to let out wide-hitting roars that stun and disorient foes. It can also spit out energy projectiles and large laser beams, and for its Unite move, it creates a large, ringed area around itself, blasting whatever’s unfortunate enough to be standing within it.
Duraludon will join the Pokemon Unite roster on March 14th, this coming Monday. It isn’t known how much Duraludon’s Unite License will cost, but with any luck, the devs will let players try it out for free for a little while after release.
