Pokemon GO Animation Week 2020 Research Tasks and Rewards

Pokemon GO is having another special event this week. The event relates to the Pokémon Journeys: The Series anime TV show, which moved time slots in Japan for the third time ever since its premiere in 1997. In this post, we look at the Pokemon GO Animation Week 2020 Research Tasks and rewards for participating in the event.

The Pokemon GO Animation Week 2020 event begins on November 6 and ends on November 12. As with every event, there’s a spawn increase for specific Pokemon, including:

  • Bulbasaur  
  • Croagunk  
  • Cubone  
  • Cyndaquil  
  • Dratini  
  • Exeggcute  
  • Meowth  
  • Paras  
  • Pikachu  
  • Piplup  
  • Psyduck  
  • Scyther  
  • Spearow  
  • Wurmple    

Specific Egg hatches from 7km Eggs feature Cubone, Pichu, Mantyke, and Riolu. Photobombs include Scyther, and special moves go to Lugia when caught or evolved. Event-specific raid battle Pokemon include:

  • Ivysaur
  • Dratini
  • Wobbuffet
  • Pinsir
  • Snorlax
  • Golurk
  • Lugia

Pokemon GO Animation Week 2020 Research Tasks and Rewards 

Here are the tasks and rewards for the Pokemon GO Animation Week 2020:

Task 1

  • Catch five Pokemon: Razz Berry x3
  • Transfer a Pokemon: Super Potion x3
  • Make three Nice Throws: Poke Ball x5
  • Rewards: Pikachu Encounter, Stardust x500, 500 XP

Task 2

  • Battle another Trainer: Hyper Potion x3
  • Battle in a Raid: Revive x3
  • Win a Raid: Incense x1
  • Rewards: Sinnoh Stone x1, Stardust x500, 500 XP

Task 3

  • Defeat three Team GO Rocket Grunts: Venusaur Mega Energy x20
  • Catch two Pokemon with Weather Boost: Venusaur Mega Energy x20
  • Catch three Grass-type Pokemon: Venusaur Mega Energy x20
  • Rewards: Sinnoh Stone x1, Stardust x500, 500 XP

Task 4

  • Give your buddy three treats: Razz Berry x5
  • Earn a heart with your buddy: Pinap Berry x5
  • Earn a Candy walking with your buddy: Nanab Berry x5
  • Rewards: Snorlax Encounter, Stardust x500, 500 XP

Task 5

  • Catch three Bug-type Pokemon: Pinap Berry x3
  • Use three Berries to help catch Pokemon: Great Ball x3
  • Make an Excellent Throw: Venonat Encounter
  • Rewards: Scyther Encounter, Stardust x500, 500 XP

Task 6

  • Battle in a Gym two times: Fast TM x1
  • Win a Gym Battle: Hariyama Encounter
  • Battle another Trainer: Super Potion x3
  • Rewards: Charged TM, Stardust x500, 500 XP

Task 7

  • Hatch an Egg: Tentacool Encounter
  • Spin three PokeStops or Gyms: Croagunk Encounter
  • Spin three PokeStops or Gyms: Piplup Encounter
  • Rewards: Psyduck Encounter, Stardust x500, 500 XP

Task 8

  • Make three Nice Throws in a row: Cyndaquil Encounter
  • Catch one Flying-type Pokemon: Hoothoot Encounter
  • Purify one Shadow Pokemon: Lucky Egg x1
  • Rewards: Fearow Encounter, Stardust x500, 500 XP

Task 9

  • Evolve three Pokemon: Silver Pinap Berry x1
  • Power up Pokemon three times: Dratini Encounter
  • Transfer five Pokemon: Dewgong Encounter
  • Rewards: Dragon Scale x1, Stardust x500, 500 XP

Task 10

  • Catch five Pokemon: Ultra Ball x10
  • Make three Great Throws: Magnemite Encounter
  • Battle in a raid: Max Revive x3
  • Rewards: Gengar Encounter, Stardust x500, 500 XP

Task 11

  • Claim Rewards: 4000 XP, Pikachu Encounter, Stardust x500
