There have been several rumors in regards to the future of PlayStation. Some mention the return of fan-favorite franchises such as Sly Cooper and Infamous. There have also been rumors related to the upcoming game Hogwarts Legacy. These rumors have usually been paired alongside a rumored March PlayStation event. It appears there is some truth to these as the next State of Play event will be held this Wednesday.
Japanese Games are Set to be the Event’s Focus
This morning, it was announced via a post on the PlayStation Blog that a new State of Play would be taking place. Although previous events have featured a variety of different games, this one will mainly be focused on games from “beloved Japanese publishers.” Other games could potentially be shown as the post states “we’ll have a few updates from other developers located around the world, too.”
Ghostwire Tokyo is probably going to be shown as it is a Japanese-developed game that has made appearances previously at State of Play events. Also, its release date is in a few weeks. Last week it was rumored that a Forspoken delay was going to be announced at the upcoming State of Play but the delay was announced yesterday. The game could still potentially make an appearance.
You can watch the PlayStation State of Play this Wednesday, March 9, 2022, on Twitch and YouTube starting at 2 p.m. PT.
