Players Discover New Emote Glitch That Lets You Unlock Any Door in Remnant 2

Doors shall not stop the curious explorers

Remnant 2 hasn’t been out for very long. In fact, at the time of writing this story, Remnant 2 has just officially launched after exiting out of Early Access for those who pre-purchased the game since July 21st-25th, 2023. But even with a smaller scale of players before the inevitable rise of this fantastic Souls-like game with guns and co-op, those exploring, fighting and grinding before everyone else have discovered a few tricks and secrets. From the various Archetypes available to uncover in the game and try out for yourself, to the possible fake walls and the precious prayer to the one true god – your gun, players have already found a method to get through locked doors. This is the tale of Remnant 2’s first glitch upon its release, we hope you enjoy.

Sick of Those Silent Hill Impenetrable Doors in Video Games? Remnant 2 Has the Answers

It is to no one’s surprise that a brand new game would experience its fair share of glitches. Take the massively popular Pokémon Scarlet and Violet which still has mediocre performance and insane frame rate drops as the NPCs wonder around a pixelated scene. But players have already found a method to get past any locked doors that they are not supposed to bypass at that given point in the game. The way to do unlock doors is exclusive to those playing Remnant 2 in its co-op mode. Those playing solo will not be able to use this glitch. The method to unlock any doors that have a wooden beam keeping it shut from the other side is to use emotes.

But how exactly does this glitch work? For those playing with friends and peacefully exploring the vast, randomly generated and infinitely hostile world of Remnant 2 may have come across locked doors that do not require a key to unlock. Rather these doors are labelled as ‘locked from the other side’, acting as a shortcut or exit upon seeing the entire route from the other side. Because of how it is locked and not needing a key, players have learnt that through using the emote system, you can bypass the lock and teleport straight to the other side.

You Now Shall Pass the ‘Locked From the Other Side’ Doors With the Emote Glitch

In order to get through, you first need one person to interact with the door as if they have a key to unlock it. When they are in their animation of trying to get the door open, another player needs to stand facing the door and open the Emote Wheel (hold ‘G’). Select Emotes 2 and use the left-mouse click on the specific emote – High Five. When you have executed the emote glitch correctly, the player that is executing a high five will teleport to the other side of the door at the same time that the user is trapped in the door opening attempt animation.

Now that the emote user has successfully got to the other side of the locked door they can unlock it by interacting and moving the locking mechanism, allowing you and your party to explore till your heart’s content and your curiosity satisfied on all the goods you find. Remember that this emote glitch only works on doors that are locked from the other side and do not need a key to gain access into.
