Minor changes and visual improvements.

It has been a month since NHL 23 was released and fans have been vocal about the game’s shortcomings. EA was quick to release a new update addressing issues of the fans. However, everything isn’t good and merry. First, let’s have a brief look at the patch notes.

The new update from EA has addressed the issues with presentations. The frequency of on-ice projections and national anthems are the major chunk of it. You will also find gameplay improvements to the AI, Goalies and Strategies. Some parts of the patch notes include improvements to the Hockey Ultimate Team and Franchise Mode.

In addition to the presentations, the visual improvements made to the art and uniforms of teams will increase emersion while playing NHL 23. You can read the entire patch notes of the 1.2 update here.

EA has mentioned another patch coming in a week or two. However, the community doesn’t seem fully satisfied with the current update.

What the NHL 23 1.2 Update Lacks

The 1.2 update is only the tip of the iceberg. The game still has problems with Franchise mode, general matchmaking issues, news on crossplay and so many more game-breaking problems. EA has fixed what could have been an early update after a week from the game’s launch. Most changes focus on the visual aspects and don’t do enough to improve the basic issues the community is facing.

EA has faced the blow back. Although the developers have promised a mid-November update, it is highly likely that more than half of the current issues will be untouched. EA has dropped the ball on multiple sports titles they have released this year, and maybe it’s high time to fix them.
