Here are some of the new features that were highlighted through the recent promotional content;

  • Affiliation Boroughs – NBA 2K23 will be returning with the same four affiliations from last year; Western Wildcats, North Side Knights, Beasts of the East, and South City Vipers. However, now, each affiliation has been relocated to a completely new and more thematic destination. Helping to make each affiliation more unique and different from the rest.
  • Dreamville Studio – Located in the southeast, not far from the Beasts of the East’s borough, you will find a new studio rolled into The City for NBA 2K23; Dreamville Studio. Founded by Grammy-nominated artist and producer J. Cole, Dreamville Studio will allow MyPlayers to prove they have what it takes to befriend J. Cole in MyCareer during their quest to win over The City.
  • Event Center and Jordan Challenge Building – The Event Center’s all-new design and look have completely reshaped the entire experience in The City. Adding a whole new level of flair and a more immersive layout. While the Jordan Challenge Building offers players easy access to the new in-game mode.
  • The Arena – The Arena is a new location where players can compete in MyCareer games. Providing a fantastic pre-game atmosphere with a gigantic plaza out front. Leading up to a game, players can enter to show off their new aesthetic in front of the media members awaiting their arrival. Plus, you can also complete any available quests, and even take questions from the media post-game.
  • The Block and Theater – Also new to NBA 2K23 is the Block, which is located in the heart of The City. It’s the mecca of competition where players can find all of the great content in one central hub. While the Theater replaced the warehouse buildings and serve as a hub to play instant matchmaking games. In fact, the four-event playlist will be replaced with four new events every single Friday.
  • The return of Seasons – Seasons are officially back in The City in NBA 2K23. Now, every six weeks new rewards will be available to earn and new content will be released for players to enjoy. More details on the first season will come when the game officially launches on September 9.
  • Traversal Times – Based on community feedback, The City has shrunk down in size compared to NBA 2K22. This is designed to provide an all-around better and more rewarding experience. Also, Fast Travel has been added to the game to allow you to instantly travel around The City.
