Valorant aims to become the ultimate competitive first-person shooter. Riot is focusing heavily on developing a solid anti-cheat system to provide the best experience possible.

Is Valorant Free to Play?

Valorant will be free-to-play similar to League of Legends. Anyone can download and play the game for free. There will be some optional in-game purchases such as skins and cosmetics. This is common in all Riot Games titles such as League of Legends and Runeterra.

The free-to-play pricing model is quickly becoming the standard for PC games and competitive games in general. Being free means a much larger user base starting out, and some players who become addicted end up spending obscene amounts of money on cosmetics.

With Valorant officially launching this summer, players can get their hands on the new shooter in the near future. There will be a Valorant Open Beta soon, but details are yet to be announced.
