Players wanting to create Kratos and take him through the forest will be a bit disappointed.

With the release of Sons of The Forest, players of the previous title have a lot of burning questions. Mainly, looking to see if features and gameplay mechanics have been updated since The Forest. While the story and location are different, the overall gameplay loop is the same. You are tasked with surviving alone or with friends, while attempting to progress the story and finish the game. As mentioned, you can play the game with other friends. However, due to the face that there wasn’t any of this in the first game, players have been wondering: is there character creation in Sons of The Forest?

In the first game, players were stranded on an island after an airplane crash and tasked with making it off alive. When friends join your game in The Forest, they were assigned one of 8 player models of other passengers from the plane. This was to provide variety for players and allow them to not all be the same person.

In Sons of The Forest unfortunately, you are not able to create your own character. And unlike The Forest, every player has the exact same male character model, making everyone look the exact same. The game is still in early access, so there is hope that the developers will include more character models in the future. But for those who are wanting to get a little more in-depth with their character in Sons of The Forest, it does not seem like that is in the cards any time soon.
