Is the Resident Evil 4 Remake Going to be on Steam Deck? Answered

Can you play Resident Evil on Steam Deck?

I truly love a good horror game and the Resident Evil franchise has always excelled on delivering great stories, scary atmospheres, and iconic monsters. Unfortunately, I started playing Resident Evil when Biohazard came out since I wasn’t allowed to play it when I was younger. My parents didn’t want me to play a game that had guns, violence, and elements of horror. Now that I’m older I can appreciate Resident Evil games and play them whenever I want. Speaking of playing whenever I want, it would be nice to play it on my Steam Deck. Can you play Resident Evil 4 on your Steam Deck? Let’s find out together!

Is the Resident Evil 4 Remake Going to be on Steam Deck?

The answer to your question is undetermined. Unfortunately, Steam Deck hasn’t confirmed if the game will be releasing anytime soon. I’m not even sure if a port is available for the game since there hasn’t been any updates on Steam Deck’s side or Capcom’s. Maybe they will have one in the future and who knows you could be looking at playing all of the Resident Evil games on your Steam Deck.

Does this mean you can’t play it on Steam Deck? The answer is, yes you can still play it on Steam Deck. The game is downloadable but due to some hardware limitations it doesn’t work as well. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get it. As of right now the game is currently not verified to be compatible. This could change in the future!

Resident Evil 4 Remake Update

Resident Evil 4 is a game developed by Capcom where you embark on a journey with Leon S. Kennedy. The game has survival and horror elements all packed into one, which makes it a fun experience. There are boss fights, quick time events, violent enemies usually in hordes, and plenty of weapons to choose from. Originally, the game was played on Playstation 2 and eventually transitioned to PC and Wii. With the latest update, Capcom has made some changes to make gameplay a lot more fun for players of the beloved franchise.

The game will feature some new mechanics such as a dodge feature when enemies will attack you. Capcom will also be fixing the rain effects by diminishing them. We will also be getting the ability to parry and unleash finishing moves to opponents. Probably our favorite feature during this remake will be the side quests. This means we will have a larger game than the original and we’ll have opportunities to play new optional missions. As the game continues to unleash patch’s and updates we will continue to cover them and inform you of all of the changes.

I will keep you updated if anything changes in the near future!
