This year’s Game Awards will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles California on December 8. While the physical event is mostly restricted to industry insiders, you can watch it via live stream for free on most major video platforms. This includes Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more. Basically, if you can watch live streams on it, there will be a Game Awards stream for you to watch.

The event will begin that day at 7:30 PM Eastern time, 4:30 PM Pacific. As per usual, in addition to the actual awards and recipient speeches, there will also be plenty of new game trailers premiering at the event from all of the major publishers and developers.

This year’s Awards feature 31 different categories, ranging from the coveted Game of the Year prize to standbys like Best Narrative and Best Score and Music. There will also be awards for content creators and eSports athletes, as well as a brand new category for movie and television adaptations of games.

If you’d like to vote for your favorite nominees, just visit the Game Awards website and sign in with a Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, or Google account. You do need to sign in to vote, but you don’t need to let the site post on your socials if you don’t want to. Once you’re signed in, you can scroll through the categories and pick your votes. If you change your mind on any of the categories, you can change your vote on any of them until December 7. Full disclosure: the majority of the award recipients are decided by the Game Awards jury, but they do factor the fan votes into their decision, so don’t hesitate to cast your vote!

Once again, the show will be streaming on all major platforms on December 8. Tune in to see if your favorite game wins!
