With sharp graphics and a fluid combat system, the newest installment in the Harry Potter franchise has come ready to shock our socks off. Inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original saga, Avalanche Software developed Hogwarts Legacy with a whole new storyline that still takes place in the Wizarding World we all know and love.

There are plenty of things that were brought over from the source material Potter books and movies, such as many of the spells, potions and creatures that feature in the game. One other thing that was imported is the Room of Requirement, which acts as the player’s home base in the game. However, there is a limit to the amount of things you can store in this virtual Room of Requirement, unlike the series’ unlimited one. In this guide, we discuss how to get the most value out of your Room of Requirement possible.

How Should You Customize the Room of Requirement

If you want your Room of Requirement looking the best it can, then you will need Moonstone. This can be found all around the open map, in the form of crystals. When you destroy them you will receive the material that can be used to set up your room. Also, cast Evanesco to remove objects that are in the room which you don’t want, to free up space and potentially give you some rewards back.

You’ll want to use the Conjuring Spell in order to fill the Room of Requirement with items you need to progress in the game, like planting tables and potion stands. Make sure to cast as many as you can, because although there is a limit, the more stations you have the better. Getting items like the Hopping Pot, which creates a random potion every 15 minutes, as well as the Chopping Station, which will reward you with one plant per 10 minutes, can really help you progress in Hogwarts Legacy.

Lastly, expand your Vivarium as much as possible so that you can fit most of the beasts in the game within them. This will let you have a large menagerie of animals to hang out with, as well as harvest materials that you need from them whenever necessary. Use the Beast Feeder, Toybox and Breeding Pen to keep your beasts happy and well fed!
