How to Get To Marunweem Lake in Hogwarts Legacy

Not really a place for swimming, sadly...

The Wizarding World that we all know and love is the background for the fantastical new video game Hogwarts Legacy, which was conceived by J.K. Rowling and also Avalanche Software. The game is set within the 1790s, just before the turn of the century and still several decades prior to the happenings of the Harry Potter series that served as its foundation. The majority of the locations, spells, and even some individuals haven’t changed, though. In the game, players take on the role of Hogwarts students and study a variety of helpful spells, potion concoctions, and other magical skills. They will need to grow their magical skills quickly, though, for their are Dark Wizards and a Goblin Rebellion on the rise.

In order to get to Marunweem Lake, you will first need to head for the very bottom of the South Sea Bog. Once there, look for a Medium Bandit Camp which contains the entrance to a cave network nearby. Travel through the cave network and you should end up on the other side quickly. There isn’t much to see in the cave, so don’t worry about traveling through it too quickly.

However, there may be a few goblins as well as an enemy camp, and you will need to kill all of them before proceeding. Although you can run past the first few enemies back at the South Sea Bog, these ones will need to be eliminated so that you can continue your quest. In a wizard hex wizard world, anyone who isn’t willing to defend themselves if necessary will surely end up someone else’s prey, right?
