Note that to get more bag space, you’ll need to play through the game for at least an hour or two so you get access to the Galaxy Hall in Jubilife Village. Once you have access to the main building, you can follow the steps below.

To get more space in your satchel, speak with Bagin at the Galaxy Hall in Jubilife Village. Bagin can teach you how to carry more things in your satchel in exchange for a fee.

Each time you receive training from Bagin, he will add one more overall slot to your satchel. That means you will be able to carry one more thing each time you pay him. The fee begins at 100 and goes up each time you speak with Bagin. Depending on how many slots you’d like to purchase, this can get costly, as each new slot will cost upwards of 5,000 and increase 500 each time.

In short, go to the Galaxy Hall in Jubilife Village, walk inside the main door, and Bagin will be standing on your left. Press the “A” button to interact with him, and choose the “Teach me” dialogue option, assuming you have enough money to afford his fee. Repeat this process as many times as you like, depending on how many slots you want or how much money you have on hand.
