If you blink, you might miss it. Secret rooms aren’t actually as hidden as other titles. Yes, you have to look in order to find them, but thankfully the developers added hints. In order to find a secret room you need to get close enough to a wall. Try looking for a shimmering lock; that is your key to finding them around the map. In order to go through the door you need to acquire Anima to unlock the door. These hidden locations will have materials you can earn such as Prismium, curse change, essence, and more. Each room has different treasures you can find, so you should explore your surroundings very carefully or you might miss them!

The key to opening these secret rooms requires you to have Anima. What exactly is Anima and why are we using it instead of a typical key? Anima, as described in the game text, “Anima’s are bursts of life essence. Each burst can be used to heal your injuries.”

They’re typically used to heal your character from certain ailments, so, why are they keys? We’re not entirely sure. But what we are sure of is that if you use blue or gold Anima, they’re both qualifiers for opening a secret door. Make sure you grab these resources because they’re incredibly useful for healing, and apparently, opening doors.

There are two different versions of Anima. You can obtain blue Anima which can be used to heal yourself partially and gold Anima which gives you a greater boost in restoring your health. If you pick up enough blue Anima you can create a golden Anima. If you’ve picked up enough Anima it will combine together to form one golden Anima instead of filling up slots.
