Resident Evil Village DLC is here. Released October 28th, 2022, Shadows of Rose follows Ethan Winters’ daughter on a horrifying, psychological journey into consciousness. Rose is “willingly” absorbed into the Megamycete. Which has the ability to take and hold onto the memories of the recently deceased who passed within close proximity of the Megamycete. She is looking for the Purifying Crystal which will remove her powers as she sees this as a curse. Thrown into it, Rose finds herself in Lady Dimitrescu’s Castle where she must find the 3 Masks to obtain the Purifying Crystal. Surrounding her are enemies including that of The Merchant who enjoys the hunting of Rose. To find these Masks you must find the Triocular and Monocular Key. How to Find All Keys in Resident Evil Village DLC Shadows of Rose
Monocular Key
- Firstly, you need to obtain the first RW-Variant Flask to power up your abilities. This will allow you to break the Mold Cores (these look like giant plant heads attached to the oozing substance which often blocks your path or is holding an item). After you have returned to the Main Hall, players will be able to destroy the Mold Cores in the room. This will allow you to go up the stairs and go into the entrance area.
- Head upstairs, on the floor you will see a Hand-drawn Map showing you where to find the Monocular Key. Follow the corridor round to the right, into the 2F East Wing. As soon as you turn the corner there will be an enemy feasting on one of your copies. Either take him out or evade him. At the end of the corridor there is a mold covered door with a Core hanging over your head. Destroy this and head inside.
- A chase sequence will begin where Michael will guide you to safety. Simply enter the room at the end of the corridor, do not turn left as it is a dead end.
- After following Michaels words and grabbing the RW-Variant Flask 2 in the Armory, head back into the chase sequence corridor, this time go to the dead end to your right and enter the Dressing Room. Here there are 2 enemies, either shoot them or use your new powers to temporarily freeze them. The Monocular Key is on the table in front of them.
- This key can be used on the One-Eyed Door in the Courtyard and inside the Storage Room towards the entrance of the Castle (where the Merchant used to be in Village). It will have a Mold Core in front of it. Inside there is a case with a Monocular Emblem on it. Use the key to open it. Here you will get a new gun part- Compensator.
Triocular Key
- To obtain the Triocular Key you must complete the Painting Puzzle in the Gallery Room on the second floor (inside the first door adjacent to the staircase). This puzzle is missing a painting. To find this you must use the Monocular Key on the One-Eyed Door in the Courtyard. Go up the stairs as The Merchant talks to you through the TV screen. At the top of the stairs, you will see a new enemy. You do not have to worry about him yet.
- Continue following the corridor in the Hall of Ablution, where you will see versions of your copies forced inside picture frames, souvenirs for The Merchant. There is a locked door on your left, we need to get in there to grab the missing Snake Painting. To unlock this door, you will need to complete the Statue Puzzle in the next room. There is an enemy roaming this corridor, simply enter the room with the statues to evade him.
- After you have completed this puzzle go into Wine Cellar below and continue playing the story normally and obtain the silver mask. After you have escaped to the Statue Room, return to the previously locked room which will now be open. You will converse with Michael briefly in the Guest Room, go through the double doors into the Bathroom and here you will obtain the Snake Painting.
- With the painting in hand, unlock the Bathroom door and head back to the Courtyard. Return to the Main Hall and head into the Gallery Room on the second floor. Now you can complete the Painting Puzzle. Upon completion you will obtain the Triocular Key. This can be used to get the Shotgun in the Kitchen and open the Three-Eyed door.
